Biography ~Eric D Hisle, Instructor

For most of my adult life, professionally and personally, I’ve worked in the safety, security, and insurance fields. Some of my work put me in many dangerous environments and situations, over the past 40 years. Whether I was on armed guard duty at a US Army Nuclear missile base in Europe, working in, on, or around diesel locomotives in a switch yard, or managing bar and event security, situational awareness was always paramount. I wanted to get home safely to my family and ensure the safety and security of those who depended on my attention to detail, surroundings, and situational awareness. Currently I work a less dangerous profession as a Licensed Insurance Consultant. In 2017, my wife and I relocated to Southern Florida. We became acclimated to our new environment and experienced a close encounter with some predatory characters. I decided it was time that I exercised my Second Amendment right. I found a certified trainer, completed his crash course, and qualified with my weapon at a shooting range. The same day I applied for and soon after a thorough background check, received my Florida conceal carry weapons (CCW) license. Since then, it seems that our Country has been experiencing a turbulent era of crime and gun violence, with little to no consequence to, nor accountability by these perpetrators. I traveled to Minnesota to complete the instructor's certification course and be trained by Gene German, President of LTI and author of the Florida Guide For Armed Citizens, which is an important part of our Florida training.
I am now LTI Certified to train and instruct for Florida conceal carry and specialize in Florida constitutional carry and ready to help Florida citizens in this regard.

LEOSA Trainers, Inc. Certified

LEOSA Trainers, Inc. (LTI) is authorized to provide license to carry training in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Florida. “LEOSA” is actually a federal law and was first enacted in 2004 to provide qualified former law enforcement officers with the means to carry a concealed firearm for their self-defense in all fifty states. LEOSA created an affirmative defense against state laws that prohibited the carrying of concealed weapons without first obtaining a license from the state. Since no “permit” or “license” is actually issued by any state or governmental agency, this federal authority to carry a handgun is most similar to constitutional carry. LTI's training was created to exceed the standards of training set by Florida because armed citizens need to know much more than just the skills and drills of firearms. We train our students beginning with how to avoid conflict through how to survive an attack physically, morally, legally and financially. Course Curriculum

The course curriculum includes: introduction to relevant Florida laws, importance of conflict avoidance and situational awareness, righteous use and threat of force in public and at home, the human target, using lethal force and crime scene management, the aftermath of a defensive gun use, self defense insurance, routine police encounters, active intruder, choosing a handgun, ammunition, mechanics of everyday carry, legalities of Florida carry, firearm safety, and shooting qualification.

STUDENT TUITION

My new student tuition is $275.00 per student. Range fees and ammunition are not included. I offer a $50 discount on new student tuition if you are willing to bring a friend or family member. I will also extend the $50 discount to each new student you bring with you for training.

Pre-payment is required to reserve your seat in the class.

LEOSA Trainers, Inc. Certificate of Completion

Each new student receives a copy of the, “Florida Guide for Armed Citizens”. This book contains a vast majority of the information from the class. We will provide lunch and encourage you to bring beverages and snacks for yourself, if you desire. Students who pass this course will receive a LTI certificate of completion.
